The following pictures, which may be individually enlarged or watched as a slideshow, were taken while prospecting for sites within an hour and a half of Paris in the Ile-de-France and Yonne.

The Massif de Fontainebleau and its surroundings contain a nearly endless natural sculpture garden of tumbled blocks, boulders and cliffs that provide the support for art from the mid-Magdalenian of 15,000 years ago to the late Middle Ages.
